Are you a young person in South Australia who has lived experience of the youth justice system?

Would you like to share your experience in a creative way? 

We’re hosting free workshops in partnership with SYC where you will be supported to share your experience in whatever creative style you choose.

If you want, your creation will then be exhibited as part of The Reintegration Puzzle Conference in June and you will be paid.

This project is supported by SYC

  • The Reintegration Puzzle Conference brings together people and groups who work with people coming out of custody. It’s a space for sharing ideas and experiences, and finding better ways to support children, young people and adults returning to the community. The Reintegration Puzzle Conference will be in Adelaide, June 2026.

  • Lorna is the SA Coordinator (Children and Young People) for the Justice Reform Initiative and will be running the project. Lorna will have support from other staff at JRI and SYC.

  • No, there’s no cost involved. We’ll chat to you about what support you need to create (e.g. art supplies).

  • Share your experience in whatever way you want:

    • Any creative idea you want

    You choose what to share and how to share it.

  • Yes. If you decide to submit your artwork for the conference exhibition, you will be paid and have the chance to earn additional income from the sale of prints from your creative project. We will help you turn whatever you create into items for sale.

  • Get in touch via email, call/text or DM so we know you’re coming to a workshop. Once you’re at a workshop, we’ll chat with you about your ideas, as well as privacy, support and how you will get paid.
